Volunteering within your local community, you will provide help and support at one of our drop-in Hubs for Surrey’s unpaid carers.
We have 15 Hubs running across Surrey, each one takes place two days a month (see map of locations below).
Working alongside a paid member of staff you, you will:
* Make carers feel welcome by creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
* Help carers to sign in.
* Offer an empathetic and listening ear.
* Direct carers to a Carer Support Advisor for signposting to specific support.
In return, Action for Carers will provide you with a warm welcome and induction, training opportunities, regular ‘check ins’ with our Volunteers Coordinator and agreed expenses.
