Overview
Are you ready to make a difference with your Health and Safety experience in a busy Risk Management team? We are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor in Belfast on a long term temporary contract.
As an advisor, you will be responsible for the provision of specialist knowledge, advice and guidance on health & safety matters within the team.
The Role
Provide professional advice and support to Directors, managers and staff on occupational safety and health in line with legislation, Trust policies and approved guidance.
Develop, implement and review Trust health and safety policies, procedures, audits and risk assessments, ensuring statutory compliance and consistency across the organisation.
Deliver training programmes, promote best practice, and build effective working relationships with managers, staff, safety representatives and statutory bodies.
Lead and manage the Trust\'s fit-testing service, including organisation of programmes, policy development, staff management, equipment maintenance and data reporting.
Investigate incidents, analyse trends, maintain databases and provide reports to Trust committees and senior management to support governance and risk management.
Liaise with external regulators, including reporting incidents under RIDDOR, and contribute to the Trust\'s wider organisational risk assurance requirements.
Represent the Trust by maintaining high standards of professionalism, equality, infection control, records management and continuous personal development.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
* Relevant degree and NEBOSH qualification.
* Experience of developing, implementing and maintaining administrative systems in support of service delivery.
* Management of services and resources across a multi-site environment.
* Full current Driver\'s License.
