We have an exciting opportunity for a 2-year fixed-term (until March 2027) secondment or job share in our senior pharmacist role within the Womens, Childrens and Sexual Health directorate. This newly funded role, primarily developed within paediatrics, offers the successful candidate the chance to expand their experience across other areas of the directorate.
The position is for 15 hours per week, with some or all hours covering a Tuesday and Wednesday. All pharmacy posts support weekend and bank holiday working.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway hospital pharmacy is located within Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, linked to the Womens and Childrens hospital wing. You will be supported by the wider pharmacy team and line managed by the lead pharmacist for Acute and Diagnostics. Hospital experience is required, but training can be provided for an experienced hospital pharmacist transitioning to another specialty. Support for obtaining a pharmacist prescribing qualification is available if not already obtained.
Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, opened in 2017, supports robotics and electronic prescribing. The team works closely with multidisciplinary colleagues in a friendly and supportive environment.
Dumfries is located in beautiful southwest Scotland, offering coastlines, forests, and hills, with easy access to the central belt of Scotland, Northern England, and Northern Ireland.
