ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Head of Supply Chain to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Nichols PLC’s supply chain function during a critical transformation period. This role will ensure continuity and performance across planning, logistics, and customer service teams while driving key initiatives to enhance efficiency and integration. Nichols operates as an asset-light business so building and strengthening strategic partnerships with our co-packers is critical to the success of this role.
THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop the planning, logistics, and customer service teams across three Routes to Market. Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Integrated Business Planning (IBP): Design and implement an Integrated Business Planning framework to align demand, supply, and financial planning. Embed best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and decision‑making.
Logistics Efficiency: Drive operational efficiencies within logistics, optimising cost to serve, customer service levels, and sustainability performance. Identify and implement process improvements across warehousing and transportation.
SAP Implementation & Optimisation: Support the embedding of SAP across the supply chain following the 2025 installation. Ensure systems and processes are fully integrated to deliver data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Provide clear communication and reporting to senior leadership on progress and performance metrics.

* Proven senior leadership experience within supply chain management, ideally gained at Head of Supply Chain or equivalent level.
* Strong background in FMCG environments with UK and International Customers.
* Demonstrated expertise in Integrated Business Planning design and implementation, logistics optimisation and cost-to-serve improvements, SAP implementation and change management.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to lead transformational change and deliver results.
