An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and work within Surrey Heath Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS).
The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD.
The trust has an excellent care pathways system that values psychology, psychotherapy, and arts psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders, compassion-focused supervision, EMDR, and structured clinical management. Employees can also access leadership, management, coaching, mentoring, and additional supervisor training.
We pride ourselves on our innovative and collaborative approach to providing high-quality, person-centered care. Our services include a comprehensive primary care personality disorder service and established primary care mental health teams working alongside GP practices. We are continuously developing integrated care pathways across primary and secondary care.

Main duties of the job
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the psychological needs of service users.
2. Mentor, supervise, and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.
3. Promote a psychological perspective within teams and share expertise with colleagues.
4. Work collaboratively with team managers and clinical leads to develop and deliver effective services.
5. Work flexibly within the service.
6. Lead on complex and challenging cases and develop expertise within your area of specialization.
7. Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.
8. Lead specific service development projects.
