Job Title: Part-Time Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Bedford (MK42)
Rate: £100 - £115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Potential long-term to permanent opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Bedford, working with learners aged 3 to 19 years who have physical, medical conditions, and learning difficulties. This is a part-time role offering a competitive daily rate, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with diverse needs
* Assist in managing challenging behaviours and supporting with personal care where necessary
* Implement strategies to support communication, including using BSL, Makaton, or Widgit (desirable)
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Confidence in supporting learners with a variety of challenges
* Strong understanding of behaviour management
* Knowledge of communication strategies such as BSL, Makaton, or PCS Symbols (desirable)
