Shift pattern: Negotiable.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a Consultant(s) and their team(s).
2. Act as a focal point for assistance and advice to staff, patients, and professionals regarding service enquiries and coordinate patient pathways.
3. Exercise initiative, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact in all interactions.
4. Prioritize and schedule workload to meet NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Scottish Government targets.
5. Assist in organizing and prioritizing the Consultant(s)' administrative tasks for effective planning, including managing cancellations and resource use.
6. Take ownership of responsibilities and understand the scope of your role.
7. Complete statutory/mandatory training and develop skills in line with personal and service objectives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Providing medical secretarial support for inpatient and outpatient care, with a good understanding of Board/Department policies and excellent communication skills. Experience with NHS systems such as Trak and Clinical Portal is essential; waiting list experience is desirable.
