As Duty Manager, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for managing shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
2. Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
3. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
4. Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
5. Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
6. Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up-skilling the team.
Doing the right processes and doing them right:
1. Complete any actions set for you by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk, focusing on what the customer sees.
2. Maintain a positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep, always aiming to be the best place to shop.
3. Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
4. Contribute to providing the best digital service by implementing all “One Best Way” processes.

Required skills & experience:
1. Experience in a retail management or supervisory role is ideal but not essential.
2. Communicates effectively with all colleagues to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
3. Plans and organises the shift, utilizing every team member.
4. Provides balanced feedback to improve team performance.
5. Sets the pace of the team during your shift by being hands-on to deliver a great store.
