Could you support two young men with learning disabilities to live gloriously ordinary and wonderfully meaningful lives? We re looking for thoughtful, compassionate people to join a small, friendly team in Flitwick, supporting two young men in their new home as they build happy, independent lives. Meet Alfie and Joe* Alfie and Joe are both 18 and have recently moved into their home together. This is a big step for them full of excitement, nerves, and new experiences. They re settling in well, and now we re looking for support workers who can help them feel safe, supported, and truly at home. Alfie is full of energy and loves being on the go. horse riding and disco's are big favourites already! He attends college during the week and heads home to family at weekends. Joe, who is registered blind, is getting used to his new surroundings and discovering what independence looks like for him. He enjoys routine, gentle encouragement, and is already showing his unique personality and preferences. Your role You ll be part of the trusted team helping Alfie and Joe live the lives they choose filled with purpose, joy, and belonging. What would you be doing? As you would have guessed, the people we support are very active during the day and may want to chat about their activities and what they've been up to before they go to bed. That's when your presence is needed. You would be the person who is available when they are wakeful at night, to maybe administer medication if needed and to reassure and chat with them so they are able to go back to sleep. You need to check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. You will need to provide support with personal care or medication. This is an important role to make sure people feel safe at all times and not vulnerable during the night, so this is more about providing an emotional reassurance. The details 4 Nights per week Shifts are 10pm7.30am, Some flexibility is required due to changes in routine throughout the year You ll be joining a welcoming, close-knit team who care deeply about person-centred support and who believe everyone deserves to live a life filled with laughter, choice, and connection. If you're ready to support Alfie and Joe as they shape their futures, we d love to hear from you. *Names changed for privacy "Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office.
