Job Description
Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities:
* Process invoices accurately and ensure timely payments to vendors.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Manage and monitor the accounts payable ledger effectively.
* Assist in month-end financial reporting and accrual preparation.
* Handle payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
* Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks.
* Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk professional should have:
* Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar financial role.
* A strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
