We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Science Tutor to join our team and work with students in alternative provisions across Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to make a positive impact on the learning journeys of students who may not thrive in traditional school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and tailored Science lessons to students with diverse needs and abilities.
* Support students in developing their knowledge and understanding of key scientific concepts.
* Adapt lesson plans to suit individual learning styles, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have a strong background in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) and experience delivering Science education at various levels.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students who may face challenges in their education.
* Be adaptable and able to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in alternative provision or with students with SEMH/SEN is desirable.
