The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering financial leadership across a major, high‑profile contract. Working at the heart of our Mission Systems business, you’ll support contract mobilisation, transition and long‑term delivery ensuring strong financial foundations from day one.
This is a unique opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor within an operational leadership team, driving performance, influencing key decisions and providing commercial insight across complex defence and engineering programmes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Leading financial mobilisation activity, establishing controls, reporting and forecasting processes
* Producing management accounts, forecasts and variance analysis to drive performance insights
* Building trusted relationships with programme and operational stakeholders to influence decision‑making
* Identifying financial risks and opportunities, supporting bids, changes and growth initiatives
* Ensuring strong governance, compliance and continuous improvement across financial processes
Essential Experience
* Demonstrating significant experience in financial business partnering or project and contract finance
* Supporting contract mobilisation, transition or start‑up activity within complex environments
* Applying strong knowledge of project accounting, forecasting and financial analysis
* Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders across finance and operations
* Delivering results in fast‑paced environments with competing priorities and deadlines
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

The successful candidate must achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
