Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Specialist to join the East Durham community Hub and Intervention team. The successful candidate will support and develop clinical practice and play an integral part in developing the ADHD service for the East Durham area. The role includes consultation and education to partner agencies, supporting clinicians with complex clinical cases, and liaising with patients and families as appropriate.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a high standard of clinical leadership to the team and maintain clinical standards across all aspects of the service.
* Lead ongoing service development and provide clinical supervision to staff members.
* Provide specialist advice, training, guidance and consultation to the team and partner agencies; facilitate multi-disciplinary coordination of care for patients.
* Identify potential symptoms of ADHD and Autism, and support patients with existing diagnoses who are in active treatment.
* Support and develop clinical practice within the multidisciplinary team, including consultation with a Consultant Psychiatrist, Nurses, Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists.
* Maintain a calm, compassionate, flexible approach when delivering clinical care and manage potentially high-pressured situations with balanced decision making and positive risk-taking where appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, GMC, HCPC, Social Work England).
* A NMP qualification is an essential requirement for this post.
* Experience within a multi-disciplinary team and in leading clinical decision making.

Job Details and Further Information
The post holder will have responsibility for providing clinical leadership to colleagues in assessment, treatment and management of patients, with a focus on identifying ADHD and Autism symptoms and supporting treatment.
