The Role
:
As a Legal Clerk / Assistant, you willsupport conveyancing fee earners by managing case files and client communications.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and send out quotations to clients.
2. Assemble and dispatch client packs.
3. Conduct initial file risk assessments.
4. Carry out necessary property searches.
5. Communicate with clients, estate agents, and third parties.
6. Generate standard contractual documents.
7. Manage correspondence and formalities for exchanges, completions, and post-completion tasks.
8. Register documents with the Land Registry.
9. Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team.
Requirements:
10. Previously worked as a Legal Clerk, Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
11. Experience working in a conveyancing department.
12. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities efficiently.
13. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
14. At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Secretary.
