Job Description
My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil and Structural Technician to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Swansea, located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula.
Essential Criteria:
* Extensive industry experience within a consultancy-based role
* Experience of having line managed a team of CAD Technicians
* Good working knowledge of drafting standards, within the industry
* Demonstrable experience of having worked with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
* Experience of drafting underground drainage, SuDS, and highways applications, with reference to the relevant Section Agreements (i.e., S104, S38, S278, etc.)
* Excellent proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit
* Outstanding IT skills, including in the Microsoft Office package
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Civil and Structural Technician to possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of NavisWorks/WalkInside
- Experience with the Microsoft Sharepoint system
- Familiarity with the local region
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Working to lead the team in detailing and modelling an array of building structures projects
* Liaising with a range of engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
* Mentoring junior team members in their development throughout their respective careers
* Producing steel and concrete layout drawings
* Working to provide reinforcement detailing and scheduling
* Attending meetings with the Design Team
