About the role:
We are currently seeking a Student Registry Lead to join our Student Data department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Student Registry Lead, you will play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Data Management - Participate in planning, lead on FE strands, correct DSAT errors, and suggest procedure changes to optimize college funding and ensure data compliance.
2. Timetabling and Rooming - Implement and operate the college timetable and rooming system, monitor exception reports, and ensure cross-college compliance.
3. Support and Training - Support Registry Administrators with data entry, train staff in data procedures, and oversee the work and welfare of the team in the absence of the Registry Manager.
4. Audit Preparation - Prepare sampled student records for audits, ensure appropriate checks, and maintain confidentiality in record keeping.
5. Compliance and Development - Promote safeguarding, equality, and health and safety, participate in training and development, and respond to queries related to student enrolment, curriculum, registers, and timetabling. Facilitate face-to-face enrolment to promote compliance with college policies and procedures.
About you:
* Qualifications and Experience - Level 3 qualification, GCSEs in English and Maths, experience leading activities, and working knowledge of databases and educational funding.
* Skills and Abilities - Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, effective communication, IT proficiency, and ability to handle confidential information.
* Values and Attributes - Commitment to college values (Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, Honesty), promoting equality and diversity, and making a positive team contribution.
* Professional Development - Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge, flexible approach to work, and ability to handle manual activities.
