This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading academy trust as a SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant, working across schools in the Tameside hub. About the Role: You will play a vital role in the trust’s Inclusion Service, supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and working with staff across multiple academies. Initially based in one of the trust's vibrant primary schools, you’ll provide direct support to pupils while coaching and mentoring staff to build SEND capacity across the team. Your role will include: Supporting children with SEND to meet their outcomes. Advising staff on curriculum adaptations and inclusive strategies. Working in partnership with teachers, leaders, and external agencies. Delivering outreach and specialist support across multiple settings. About You: We are seeking someone who: Has experience working with children in a school setting with diverse needs. Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning. Brings specialist training or experience in one or more SEND areas (e.g., SEMH, autism, cognition and learning, sensory needs). Is confident in developing effective interventions and supporting staff development. Understands safeguarding and works well with families and external partners.
