Established in 2004, BioPhorum is a business-to-business membership organisation that provides a unique environment for life science companies and executives to collaborate and accelerate progress across the sector.

The company operates on a subscription model and has developed 11 targeted "Phorums" covering areas such as Drug Substance, Drug Development, Fill Finish, Technology Strategy, Supply Chain Resilience, IT, Data and Digital, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, Quality, Regulatory, and Sustainability. BioPhorum’s facilitators lead over ninety initiatives involving more than 7,000 subject matter experts.

BioPhorum has built a diverse client base of over 150 organisations, including 18 of the 20 largest global biopharmaceutical companies. It also collaborates with other life science entities, including service providers like CDMOs and academic institutions.

Recently, BioPhorum has launched its first data product, completed an acquisition, and is pursuing growth in both its core business and adjacent markets. To support this expansion, the organisation is hiring a Global Change Facilitator.


The Role

The Global Change Facilitator is a vital member of the Phorum teams and the broader BioPhorum community. The role involves facilitating outcomes from member workstreams in a consistent manner, identifying value, and delivering outputs that address, improve, and transform specific areas within the (bio)pharma industry. The Facilitator fosters a collaborative environment where experts share best practices, develop industry guidance, and benchmark performance. The role combines project management, scientific methodology, creative thinking, and stakeholder engagement to guide workstreams toward clear outcomes, adapting to evolving needs. Success requires a proactive approach and flexibility.


Main Responsibilities

* Collaborate with Phorum teams to facilitate and lead workstreams, developing and defining topics aligned with governance and strategic goals, and ensuring high-quality, representative outcomes.
* Create engaging, collaborative meetings that foster community and draw in members.
* Guide workstreams to deliver outcomes on time, using strong organizational and project management skills.
* Lead and facilitate both in-person and virtual events, ensuring they deliver value and demonstrate ROI for members.
* Define impactful deliverables such as publications, proofs of concept, business cases, and conference presentations, with clear value from the outset.
* Monitor member engagement using internal systems, identify issues early, and collaborate to resolve them.
* Maintain and update systems and materials supporting Phorum activities and member outcomes.
* Contribute to sharing success stories that demonstrate the value of collaborative efforts.
* Regularly provide feedback and insights to the Phorum team and BioPhorum leadership to enhance member satisfaction.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Degree or experience in life sciences, pharma, or biotech, with demonstrable sector knowledge, including CDMOs or consulting experience.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and building relationships, and guiding groups effectively.
* Enjoyment of collaborative processes, with skills in initiating dialogue, extracting information, and developing solutions.
* Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to facilitate industry change.
* Experience managing projects or change programs within life sciences, with structured planning and governance.
* A team player who values continuous improvement, provides constructive feedback, and maintains professionalism.
* Good judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work in iterative, fast-paced environments.
* Comfort with remote work, proactively engaging with colleagues and adapting communication styles.
* Ability to navigate a growing organization, evaluating opportunities and supporting scaling efforts.
* Willingness to support account calls and other activities as needed.


Location

This is a home-based role, with expected travel within the UK and internationally for events, meetings, and other business activities.
