Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment
Location: Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire Territory
Package: £45,000 – £50,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (OTE £70k+) + Company Car + Benefits
We’re recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to join a well-established and highly respected dealership within the construction equipment industry. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow an established territory while developing new business across a diverse customer base including contractors, plant hire companies and infrastructure businesses.
You’ll be responsible for building long-term relationships with customers while identifying opportunities to supply machinery, attachments, service packages and finance solutions.
This position would suit someone currently working in plant machinery sales, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling, commercial vehicles, or similar capital equipment sectors.
The Role
* Manage and develop a defined sales territory across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
* Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers within the construction sector
* Identify opportunities to supply machinery, attachments, service contracts and additional support packages
* Carry out site visits, equipment demonstrations and customer meetings
* Prepare quotations and proposals tailored to customer requirements
* Maintain accurate sales forecasting and customer records within the CRM system
* Monitor customer accounts and support payment collection where required
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service and support
What We’re Looking For
* Previous sales experience within construction equipment or a related machinery sector
* Strong ability to develop relationships and identify customer needs
* Experience managing a sales territory and generating new business
* Commercial awareness with the ability to sell consultatively
* Well organised with the ability to plan customer visits and manage a sales pipeline
* Confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with customers at all levels
* Full UK driving licence
