DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic Site Facilities Placement Student to join our team specializing in Facilities for our Components Business segment in Huddersfield, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an industry expert and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence on 1st July 2025.
The successful candidate will be required to be on-site full-time, Monday to Friday during business hours.
Responsibilities:
* Support and supervise reactive and planned maintenance within the Facilities department and the Facilities site IT systems.
* Support and supervise contracted teams carrying out works related to reactive and planned maintenance within the Facilities department.
* Act as the main point of contact for maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation to satisfy compliance.
* Audit works to ensure high standards are maintained.
* Communicate effectively with contracted teams and inform them of any changes within the environment.
* Participate in project work as requested by the Facilities manager and contribute to larger-scale projects across the Huddersfield site.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should be studying towards a degree in construction, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
IOSH or equivalent HSE qualifications are advantageous.
Strong communication skills are required.
