The Role
Relief Security Officer - Ilfracombe and Barnstaple Area
We’re looking for a professional, reliable, and flexible Relief Security Officer to join our team in the Ilfracombe and Barnstaple areas. This role requires someone who can cover a variety of shifts and locations, so access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a visible and vigilant security presence across various client sites
* Follow site-specific Assignment Instructions (AI's) and ensure full compliance
* Maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct
* Ensure the safety of the public and staff by proactively monitoring for risks and hazards
* Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively
* Accurately document incidents and ensure all reporting procedures are followed
* Make timely check calls and emergency contacts as required
* Attend and complete all required training and development programmes
What You'll Need
* Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision - CCTV PSS preferred)
* Previous security experience (retail security experience is an advantage)
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure
* Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
