Due to major influx of workload, you will be required to provide expertise in various projects including Nuclear, subsea offshore, renewable and marine related projects. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your skills in Inventor software and have Mechanical design knowledge also in AutoCAD and related software, engineering qualities in FEA, Mechanical Calcs is essential. Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview * Control of drawings using product data management software * Preparing final designs including detailed drawings and general arrangements * Producing bespoke designs * Creating rapid prototypes and FEA models of products * Designing hose fittings and machine modifications * Working with the development team to carry out physical testing of products * Post inspection of products and making final design adjustments * Providing sales department with product details and visualisations * Liaising with machining contractors to assist with any technical queries * Using Autodesk Inventor Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements * Ideally qualified in a mechanical discipline * Industry experience within a mechanical design position * Experience with design from initial concept to finished detailing * Be self-sufficient within mechanical design * Be keen for innovating new products * 3D design software experience, ideally Autodesk Inventor/FEA * Presenting skills * Proficient with MS Office
