We're looking for a committed, patient-centred GP to join us for up to 6 sessions per week. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team who work closely together and genuinely put patients first. We value teamwork, continuity of care and a positive, inclusive culture.

Main duties of the job

As a key part of our clinical team, your responsibilities will include:

* act as Clinical Lead and trainer

Providing high-quality, patient-centred care through in-person, telephone and online consultations

Managing a range of acute, chronic and complex cases

Carrying out appropriate clinical admin, including referrals, prescriptions and reviewing test results

Contributing to clinical decision-making through team discussions and regular meetings

Supporting continuity of care and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records

Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists and care coordinators

Taking part in clinical audits, significant event reviews and quality improvement initiatives

Supporting safe prescribing and adherence to clinical governance processes

Engaging in CPD and maintaining professional registration and revalidation

Offering clinical supervision or mentoring if experienced and interested

Kilburn Park Medical Centre is a well-established GP practice located in Kilburn, London, serving a diverse patient population. The practice is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare, with services including chronic disease management, antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations, and well-person check-ups.

The clinical team comprises experienced professionals, including GP partners, salaried GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff. The team works collaboratively to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Job responsibilities

* In accordance with Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone and video consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
* To take clinical responsibility for registered patients and maintain appropriate and accurate records of treatment given and NHS services provided.
* Maintain appropriate levels and means of communication with other key stakeholders involved with patient care.
* Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
* Refer patients to other care providers as appropriate in a timely manner.
* The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

You may also have access to information relating to the practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
* Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

Health and Safety

* You are required to assist in promoting and maintaining your own and others health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health and Safety policy including appropriate infection control procedure.

Equality and Diversity

* You are required to support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues including respecting the dignity, needs and beliefs of patients, carers and colleagues.


Qualifications

* GMC registration with license to practice as a GP.
* NHS Performer's list registration.
* Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
* Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
* Full membership of a Medical Defence Union.
* MRCGP or equivalent
* Have had an annual NHS appraisal


Experience

* GP experience (can be discussed during interview)
* Commitment to delivery high quality, welcoming primary care service
* Experience using EMIS Web and Docman.


Clinical Lead and training

* We are looking for someone who can take on the Clinical Lead and training role


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
