Your Role As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge pupils while supporting a range of learning needs. You will monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning, ensuring all pupils make strong academic and personal progress. You will also play a key role in fostering positive behaviour, resilience, and independence, while supporting pupils’ social and emotional development. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform planning Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independent learning Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Key Stage 2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives Contribute to school improvement and curriculum development Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4 Be confident in curriculum delivery, assessment, and differentiation Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Demonstrate commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding Have a positive, professional approach to teamwork Early Career Teachers with Lower KS2 experience are welcome and supported.
