Are you an EC&I Engineer looking for a hands-on role in a modern Energy from Waste facility, where your work directly impacts plant performance, reliability and safety?
Were recruiting on behalf of a leading energy and infrastructure operator for an EC&I Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team based in Lanark.
This is not a desk-based role. Youll be working at the heart of a live plant environment fault finding, improving systems and driving operational performance across electrical, control and instrumentation systems .

The Role EC&I Engineer (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) As an EC&I Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant operations:
Carry out fault finding and root cause analysis (RCA) across plant systems
Support plant performance, uptime and reliability improvements
Work across electrical systems, control systems and instrumentation
Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams
Maintain and improve PLC / SCADA systems
Work with instrumentation, VSDs, CEMS and electrical distribution systems
Support Management of Change (MOC) processes
Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
What were looking for Essential experience: Background as an EC&I Engineer / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer / Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Experience in Energy from Waste, power generation, process plant or heavy industrial environments
Strong fault finding skills across electrical and control systems
Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and plant systems
Experience working with permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work
Engineering qualification (e.g. HNC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent )
Desirable (not essential): Experience within EfW, biomass, CHP, utilities, oil & gas or manufacturing plants
Knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS)
Experience supporting plant optimisation or continuous improvement projects
