Westminster City Council are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Mental Health Social Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. This Mental Health Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. Rate dependent on experience.
Mental Health Social Worker responsibilities include:
1. Complete assessments under the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
2. Formulate risk assessments around harm to self or others
3. Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health
4. Care management
5. Report writing and assessment
6. Carrying a caseload of service users
7. Managing complex cases
8. Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act
9. Safeguarding Adults
10. Self-directed support / personal budgets
Requirements / Experience preferred:
11. Post qualifying experience of working as a Mental Health Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
12. SWE Registration
13. 1 year post qualifying experience within UK
14. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
15. Eligibility to work in the UK
