We’re on the lookout for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs at a friendly primary school in Clacton. The role is full-time and starts immediately, with ongoing support and training on offer.
What you’ll be doing:
* Giving 1:1 support in class, making learning more accessible and less overwhelming
* Encouraging confidence, independence, and tiny “I can do it!” moments
* Following tailored strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
* Helping with emotional regulation and social development
* Working as part of a team who really care - staff, parents, specialists, all rooting for this pupil’s success
What we’re looking for:
* Someone with experience in SEN support, ideally with autism or speech and language needs
* Patience, calm, and a good sense of humour never go amiss
* A confident communicator who knows how to build trust
* A team player who’s ready to jump in and make a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
