Community Mental Health Services are transforming! Would you like to be part of this exciting development?
We are looking for 2 full-time Band 3 Support Time and Recovery Workers, preferably with community experience, to work within the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) serving the Walsall area, based at Mossley Day Unit and Anchor Meadow Health Centre.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills with support from healthcare professionals, the Clinical Lead, and Team Manager. You will work alongside Care Co-ordinators, other Support Time and Recovery Workers, and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team, learning their roles and practicing autonomously under guidance.
Main duties of the job
* Work as part of a team promoting social inclusion and access for service users recovering from mental health difficulties.
* Support and spend time with a caseload of service users with complex needs to promote recovery and community living.
* Assist care co-ordinators in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.
* Develop skills in therapeutic interventions.
* Work with partner agencies and be supported by the team to support service users’ care.
* Receive regular supervision and opportunities to develop clinical and professional practice.

Detailed job responsibilities
You will support Care Co-ordinators in managing mental health needs, develop therapeutic interventions, and understand national mental health directives. You will manage a caseload of less complex service users and support more complex cases with additional input.

Experience
* Good education to GCSE level or equivalent
* Training/development evidence
* Good IT skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to support individuals with severe mental health needs
* Skills to promote independence and recovery
* Experience working with agencies and facilitating group work
* Understanding of mental health illnesses, relapse signs, risk assessment, and clinical governance
* Ability to work independently and professionally
* Travel readiness within the trust area
