We’re looking for a talented Night Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident chef ready to take ownership, support the team, and maintain exceptional food standards during our night service.
🔪 The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes in line with menu specifications
* Maintaining Levy standards, food safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
* Ensuring all ingredients are stocked and available across the full menu
* Supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations during your shift
* Supervising and motivating the kitchen team to deliver consistent excellence
* Training and coaching new team members with a positive, respectful approach
* Monitoring portion control, waste management, and stock rotation
* Remaining calm under pressure to ensure seamless service
* Taking pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
You’ll act as the backbone of the night operation — leading by example, keeping standards high, and ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen meets expectations.
👨🍳 What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience at Sous Chef level or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
* Exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness
* A genuine passion for food and quality presentation
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to stay composed and focused in a busy kitchen
* A team player who inspires and motivates others
* Safety shoes (essential requirement)
