Location: Mobile Midlands - Stoke-on-Trent
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday 40 Hours
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
The Multi Skilled Building Fabric Engineer will:
* Work as part of the Graham Facilities Management Team and play a key role in planning and completing a range of works, primarily responsible for planned, reactive, and remedial repairs related to fire door systems assets and fire compartmentation.
* Plan and execute a variety of tasks mainly associated with joinery, but also including tiling, drainage, minor roof repairs, finishes, plastering, flooring, etc., related to building fabric systems or other minor repairs based on experience.
* Provide exceptional maintenance services to high-profile clients, ensuring high-quality standards in all performance areas.
* Use initiative to solve technical problems during reactive maintenance, sourcing parts and manufacturer support as needed.
* Document works carried out with detailed write-ups to keep clients informed.
* Complete all tasks within agreed timescales, adhering to regulations and contract specifications.
* Maintain accurate records, including operation and maintenance logs and risk control measures.
* Utilize PDAs or electronic devices for work completion.
* Coordinate with the Helpdesk for efficient response to work requests, working independently or in teams.
* Observe health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments for each task.
* Interact professionally with clients daily, representing the company courteously.
* Be available for call-out responses across all contracts.

About You
Essential Criteria
1. A relevant qualification in your trade, such as C&G or NVQ Level 2 or 3.
2. FDIS or an equivalent fire door qualification.
3. At least 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, especially reactive and remedial tasks.
4. Broad knowledge of building systems related to reactive tasks, including fabric, carpentry, wet trades, minor plumbing, and groundworks.
5. Valid UK Full Driver’s License.
Desirable Criteria
1. Fire Door Inspection Course certification.
2. Experience with SFG20 standards.
3. Fire compartmentation experience.
4. IOSH – Working Safely or CSCS card.
5. Proficiency with PDA’s and IT skills.
6. Asbestos awareness training (UKATA).
7. CSR/CSCS H&S qualification.
