Your Responsibilities
1. Registration, preparation and testing of samples including supporting activities such as weighing of samples and preparation and quality control of media.
2. Maintaining high levels of hygiene in the laboratory at all times, including the cleaning and swabbing of equipment and laboratory as required.
3. Conducting required tests on raw material and product samples in accordance with company procedures and reporting all results in a timely manner.
4. Perform routine internal calibration of all necessary equipment and arrange external calibration as required, ensuring records are accurately maintained.
5. Report, record and investigate non- conformances, ensuring close out of all actions.
6. Conducting daily temperature and weight checks as required.
7. Counting and calculation of test results and accurate data entry of test results.
8. Monitor stocks of consumables within the laboratory.
9. Participate in laboratory projects as required by the business.
10. Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping, and adhere to all health and safety standards at all times, including the use of PPE provided.
11. Receiving all Quality Control testing samples and processing these to the appropriate laboratory.
12. Processing of results generated by all testing activities for Quality Assurance department
Your Profile
13. Previous experience in a microbiology lab is highly desirable for this role, or transferrable skills from a similar position.
14. Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work with a high level of accuracy and precision.
15. IT literate with good level of Microsoft Excel and Word.
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with colleagues throughout all levels of the organisation.
17. Curiosity in the field of probiotics with the desire to enhance knowledge.
18. Affinity for problem- solving and innovation.
19. Driven and self- motivated.
