Primary Care Nurse (Bank) – Derwentside IRC, a female‑only facility hosting 84 women in the north of England.
Salary and hours
Hourly rate: £23.83 per hour.
Hours: Day shifts – 07:00‑20:15; Night shifts – 20:00‑07:15.

Responsibilities
- Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team
- Provide outstanding evidence‑based care to patients, listening to and acting on their feedback for personalised care
- Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders
- Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning
- Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi‑disciplinary teams
Qualifications required
- Registered Nurse (Adult)
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working
- A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
Desirable
- Experience in long‑term conditions
- Interest in sexual health
