This newly shaped role blends editorial storytelling with strategic media engagement — ideal for someone who’s worked in journalism, PR, or content marketing and wants to shape brand narratives with purpose.
You’ll deliver press outreach, build relationships with journalists, and craft compelling stories that showcase the organisation’s impact. Alongside this, you’ll collaborate with a creative content team to deliver campaigns, features, and member-led storytelling across web, email, and social platforms.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead proactive and reactive media relations, acting as the primary press contact
* Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and media responses
* Build and nurture relationships with journalists and media outlets
* Collaborate with the content team to publish across web, email, and social channels
* Source and showcase member stories that reflect the organisation’s impact
* Support integrated campaigns and contribute to editorial planning
* Monitor media coverage and report on performance and insights
* Attend events and conferences to capture live content and interviews
* Contribute to lead generation and brand-building campaigns
* Stay up to date with content marketing trends and tools
What You’ll Bring
* 3+ years in media, journalism, PR, or content roles
* Strong press and stakeholder engagement experience
* Excellent copywriting and editorial judgement
* Confident across social platforms and CMS tools
* Comfortable using Canva, Dotdigital (or similar), and Google Analytics
* Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented
* A desire to grow professionally — CIM or similar qualification a plus
