Transport Manager Location: Slough Salary: Circa £50,000 (depending on experience) Monday Friday | 10-hour day shifts Were currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant running of a busy HGV fleet operation. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience managing European haulage operations, with air freight experience being a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day fleet operations Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Operator Licence, and transport regulations Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and fleet documentation Monitor tachograph data, driver compliance, and WTD reports Handle accident investigations and vehicle defect management Support driver recruitment, onboarding, and training Maintain health & safety standards across the operation Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs What Were Looking For: Minimum 10 years transport experience working with HGV fleets Strong knowledge of European haulage operations Air freight experience (desirable) Must hold a valid CPC qualification for at least 8 years Previous experience operating on an Operators Licence Strong leadership and communication skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business and play a key role in managing a busy transport operation.
