We are looking to recruit new companions to work on a self employed basis in and around the Cranleigh area.
Being a companion is a highly rewarding job. You will be assisting in maintaining the independence of older people that are at the risk of social isolation. Our Companions work to ensure that individuals can stay in their own homes or independent living facilities for longer, keeping them mentally and physically active whilst ensuring that their surroundings are tailored to suit their needs.
Your job role will include;
Assisting the Client to stay independent in the home by assisting with chores, managing diaries, booking appointments etc.
Taking the Client out to social events, appointments, shopping and any other places the Client requires.
Working closely with the family members of the isolated person to bring peace of mind, as well as monitoring needs and assessing next steps when necessary.
Please note that there is no personal care included in this service, you will not be expected to offer personal care or dispense medications.
The ideal candidate;
Would have a background in care (preferred)
Are articulate, chatty and empathetic.
Hold a valid drivers licence and have access to their own car (essential)
Have experience working with people with dementia (preferred)
Will have a valid DBS (preferred)
As this is a self employed role, you are able to choose which jobs you take on, and the hours are flexible.

We provide you with ongoing support as well as training, and we hold meetups for companions to meet and socialise. We pay either weekly or monthly.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week
