Summary of Position:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Compliance Co-Ordinator to support with the financial compliance team. The role will involve ensuring we are compliant with financial compliance regulations and conducting thorough checks on clients' source of funds.
The successful candidate will work closely with fee earners and other support staff to liaise with clients throughout the financial compliance process.
This role will work across the Hereford, Bristol and Cheltenham office, this can vary depending on the projects being undertaken.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage administrative processes for the sources of funds and onboarding of new clients.
* Conduct thorough checks on clients' source of funds in accordance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
* Review and verify financial documents such as bank statements, payslips, investment records, and inheritance paperwork.
* Liaise with fee earners and clients to obtain necessary documentation and clarify financial information.
* Prepare and process payment forms, including completion statements and transfer requests.
* Confirm and verify client and third-party bank details in line with firm protocols.
* Liaise with clients to process their information
* Monitor completion checklists and ensure all required documentation is in place before completion.
* Track and chase referrals and instructions, maintaining accurate records.
* Maintain an organised digital filing system and update case management systems.
* Respond to queries and provide updates in a professional and timely manner.
* Provide administrative support to the wider compliance team.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a administration role.
* Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* High level of accuracy in preparing documents.
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Manage workload and prioritise tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of the conveyancing process (residential and/or commercial).
* Experience using LEAP
* Familiarity with AML regulations and legal compliance frameworks
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Experience in a legal, financial, or compliance role is desirable.
