Business Analyst ScottishPower HQ, Glasgow (hybrid) Salary starting from £42,000 up to 10% bonus & private health cover Closing date- 27th of February 2026 Help us create a better future, quicker As a Business Analyst within the Digital Planning, Culture & Practices Team, you will play a critical role in driving digital transformation initiatives by analysing and optimizing business processes, gathering and interpreting data, and ensuring the successful integration of new technologies. You will work closely with stakeholders to align digital initiatives with business goals, support change management efforts, and contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps. Your responsibilities will include detailed process analysis and optimisation, digital planning, and ensuring that all initiatives are designed to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Your work will enable informed decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and support the organization's long-term digital transformation objectives. What you’ll be doing Efficiency Improvements: &8239;Identification and implementation of optimized business processes that leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Informed Decision-Making: &8239;Gathering and analysing data to support decision-making, with clear reports highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations Stakeholder Insights: &8239;Effective facilitation of workshops and interviews to gather insights and validate documentation, ensuring stakeholder needs are accurately captured Comprehensive Documentation: &8239;Creation of detailed process maps, technical documentation, and system design diagrams that accurately reflect business operations across multiple sites Successful Integration: &8239;Defining, gathering, and documenting technical requirements for new systems and tools, and ensuring their successful integration into existing processes Aligned Initiatives: &8239;Working with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and identifying areas for improvement Smooth Adoption: &8239;Supporting the Change Manager in developing training materials and providing support to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies Roadmap Development: &8239;Contributing to the development of digital transformation strategies and creating a digital transformation roadmap outlining key initiatives, timelines, and milestones Evaluated Solutions: &8239;Evaluating different digital solutions and technologies to determine their feasibility and potential impact, supporting decision-making with cost-benefit analyses Budget Management: &8239; Assisting in tracking and managing the budget for digital initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards What you’ll bring Process Analysis: Demonstrated experience in analysing and optimi s ing business processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and identify automation opportunities Root Cause Analysis : Effective in identifying problems and performing analysis to determine root causes using standard Business analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, FMEA and Pareto Requirement Gathering & Presentation: Proficient in eliciting, analysing, documenting, and validating requirements&8239;and clearly communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders Feasibility & Evaluation Studies : Experience in developing feasibility studies with independence, incorporating business case and impact assessment to present recommendations Written and Verbal Communication: &8239;Effectively conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audience Modelling and Visuali s ation:&8239; Using techniques to visualize data and processes and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and practices in the business field Stakeholder Engagement: Adapts content, style, and level of detail of written and verbal communications to fit diverse audiences Interpersonal Skills: Developing strong relationships with stakeholders gaining their trust and support, with the empathy to understand the motivations and perspectives of different stakeholders Adaptability: &8239;The ability to adjust communication styles and approaches to different individuals and situation Pragmatic Solutions : Initiative to improve processes and problem solve pragmatically. Logical Thinking: A logical, analytical, and structured thinker with the ability to learn quickly and solve problems Business Understanding : Solid understanding of analysis methodologies, development life cycles, and the fundamental analysis process Minimum Criteria At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a business analysis role or in a similar role involving business process analysis or systems change Experience in documenting, mapping, analysing and optimizing business processes with understanding of process optimisation principles ( e.g lean six sigma basics and value stream mapping) Experience in gathering and analysing data to support decision-making Experience in working with IT teams to integrate new technologies into existing processes Skilled in eliciting requirements through interviews, workshops and observations Experience in contributing to the development of digital transformation strategies and roadmaps, understanding how digital technologies can improve business performance and customer / user experience Ability to translate business needs into technical language and vice versa What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
