Aspris Telford School is recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Education team! We are seeking a passionate handyperson and enthusiastic DIYer to carry out reactive day-to-day maintenance within the site and grounds. This position is 5 hours per week, available on a bank or permanent basis.

Aspris Telford School is an independent day school located in an attractive semi-rural setting, just a short walk from the historic town of Ironbridge. The school provides education for 14 young people aged 11 to 18 with various SEN, including social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs, and autism. Our small school has a big heart, and our team is dedicated to providing a positive and nurturing environment for students who have often had negative school experiences.
Main Duties:
* Maintain a well-decorated, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the premises, adhering to quality standards and statutory regulations.
* Ensure that all areas meet Aspris minimum standards in a timely and efficient manner, working as part of a team.
* Identify and report damage, faults, and related issues to the line manager, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
* Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the site and grounds, ensuring windows and doors are secured appropriately.
* Address potential acts of disturbance, vandalism, or theft, reporting incidents to the manager in charge.
* Keep an accurate record of incidents and suspicious activities in a logbook.
* Act in accordance with Aspris policies and procedures, maintaining a positive environment.
* Support the integration of new services introduced within Aspris.
* Use equipment efficiently to maximize value for money.
