Compliance Manager - Driving High Standards Across a Busy Recruitment & Sales Environment

Are you passionate about safeguarding, commercially driven, and motivated by supporting high‑performing sales teams? We're looking for a proactive and confident Compliance Manager who can lead our compliance function across the business, partner closely with our recruitment consultants, and ensure we consistently uphold the highest standards of safer recruitment.

About the Role

As our UK Compliance Manager, you'll be at the heart of the recruitment operation, supporting consultants, enabling placements, and ensuring every candidate meets strict vetting and safeguarding criteria. You'll manage a team of compliance consultants, deliver training to new and experienced recruiters, and play a key role in driving performance across multiple offices.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, sales‑led environment, enjoys building strong internal relationships, and takes pride in enabling consultants to hit targets while maintaining exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Complete safeguarding and vetting checks for your own candidates, achieving weekly KPIs aligned to consultant activity and business growth.
Work closely with recruitment and sales teams, acting as the go‑to expert for compliance and safeguarding queries.
Ensure the entire business remains compliant with legislation, industry guidelines, and internal safer recruitment policies.
Conduct internal audits and highlight any risks or process improvements to the Operations Director.
Support and liaise on LADO investigations, preparing essential safeguarding documentation when required.
Manage and report on safeguarding incidents across the business.
Deliver weekly performance reporting on compliance activity, productivity, and team KPIs.
Provide induction and ongoing training to consultants, helping them work efficiently, confidently, and in line with safer recruitment expectations.
Lead weekly 1:1s and team meetings with compliance consultants, supporting development and driving performance.
Review internal processes and systems (including RDB), recommending improvements that support consultant productivity and candidate onboarding speed.
Support the Operations Director with external audits, including the biennial REC audit.What We're Looking For
