This role will be suited to those who have held roles such as: Headteacher, Assistant/Deputy Head Teacher, Inclusion Team Manager, Head of Service, Virtual School Head, SEND Manager, Commissioning Manager, Educational Consultant.
We're launching a new SEND academic provision (1:1 and small-group tuition) and need a specialist to build it from the ground up—securing funded referrals/placements through schools, academy trusts and Local Authorities. You will lead DPS/framework entry, public-sector tenders/mini-competitions, and B2B/B2G partnerships, converting opportunities into signed SLAs and sustainable pipelines.
Provision focus: High-quality 1:1 specialist tuition for vulnerable and disadvantaged children, including Children Looked After (CLA/Virtual School), SEND (EHCP and SEN Support), and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). We also deliver and/or are open to: Section 19 education (children out of school), Day-6 provision following exclusion, EBSA/school-refuser support, EOTAS packages, reintegration programmed, Alternative Provision (daytime placements), hospital/home tuition, elective home education (EHE) support commissioned by LAs, newcomer/ESOL catch-up, and NEET prevention for 16–18 (where commissioned).
Essentials
* Proven success securing funded SEND/AP placements with UK schools/LAs or prior role as SENCO/Inclusion Lead, LA SEND/Placements/Commissioning Officer, or AP/PRU placements manager.
* Strong grasp of EHCP processes, High Needs Block/top-up, Section 19 duties, safeguarding and data protection.
* Confident with public-sector procurement (DPS/frameworks, tenders, mini-competitions) and contract negotiation.
* Excellent presentation/bid writing skills; CRM-driven (e.g., Salesforce/HubSpot).
* Able to travel across Hillingdon/West London; enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain); UK work authorization.
Desirable
* Network in Hillingdon and neighboring boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow, Harrow, Brent, H&F).
* Experience launching a new provision/service line.
* Familiarity with school MIS and impact tools; ESOL/new-to-English support.
