Astute's Power team is partnering with one of the leading energy providers in the UK. They are looking to recruit a Heating Engineer to cover their energy centres in the East London area.
The Heating Engineer will play a vital part in corrective and preventative maintenance activities in all areas of the process, including plant rooms, pumping stations, district heating pipework and heat metering equipment.

Responsibilities and duties
* Maintain district heating assets including boilers, plant rooms, pipework networks and pumping stations, covering corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance.
* Assist the O&M Team Leaders with electrical and mechanical maintenance.
* Be involved in improvements in performance of assets.
* Ensure health and safety is adhered to across complex commercial environments.
* Travel to surrounding sites to perform maintenance on the district heating network.
* Participate in the call-out rota (1 in 5).
Professional qualifications
* Hold an ONC/NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
* Knowledge and experience in maintaining commercial heating and pipework systems, heat generation and heat transfer equipment.
* Experience with the safe isolation and re-commissioning of plant/pipework and electrical systems.
* Health and Safety knowledge – IOSH and/or NEBOSH are desirable.
* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Experienced with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Great work ethic.
Salary and benefits
* £45,636 - £57,937.
* 1/5 call out rotation with £4,000 retainer paid + OT.
* London living allowance of £3,550 for eligible candidates.
* 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
* Company van and fuel card.
