Location: Cowes (Isle of White) | Salary: £70k‑£75k + Bonus
Overview
Lead the Digital Engineering team, driving the design and delivery of complex radar systems. Spearhead technical innovation, team mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Apply technical expertise in digital and electronic domains for complex radar designs.
* Lead and mentor the Digital Engineering team, fostering technical growth.
* Oversee learning and development of Digital Electronic Engineers across the radar product area.
* Serve as subject matter expert in the Electronic Engineering discipline.
* Coordinate Digital Engineering estimates to support bidding activities and cost‑to‑complete estimates.
Qualifications
* A degree in Electronic Engineering or a strongly related subject.
* Solid understanding of digital techniques design process, including requirements generation, design, and implementation.
* Knowledge of complex digital PCB design and digital devices, particularly FPGAs.
* Ability to specify against these technologies and communicate with specialists in digital, analogue, RF, and electrical domains.
* Experience in the whole design process from requirements to design assurance and sign‑off.
* Team leadership, people development, mentoring, succession planning, and resource demand forecasting experience.
Desirable
* Previous experience operating in a defence or high‑safety integrity environment.
