* Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including police, health, and education, to gather information and inform assessments.
* Develop clear and concise plans that address identified needs and risks.
* Provide clear and accurate reports and maintain comprehensive case records.
* Attend and present at child protection conferences, court hearings, and other relevant meetings.
* Work proactively to de-escalate crisis situations and provide immediate support to families.

About You:

* Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in children's social care, ideally within a duty and assessment or frontline safeguarding team.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children.
* Excellent assessment, analytical, and risk management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
* Committed to continuous professional development.
* Possession of a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.

What We Offer:

* A competitive hourly rate of up to £39 per hour.
* The opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
* Access to regular supervision and management oversight.
* Commitment to your professional development with access to training opportunities.
* The chance to make a real difference to the lives of children and families in Tameside.
