We are looking for an enthusiastic Supply Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Plymouth. This flexible, temporary role is crucial for maintaining continuity, assisting subject teachers across various departments to ensure all students can access the curriculum during staff absences.
The Role
The core focus of this position is to provide targeted academic support within Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11:16) classrooms to cover short:term or long:term staff absences. You will work closely with the cover teacher or departmental lead to facilitate learning, manage resources, and help maintain a positive and focused learning environment during subject lessons across different areas of the school.

Key Responsibilities
*
In:Class Support: Assisting across different subject departments (English, Maths, Science, etc.).
*
Small:Group Intervention: Reinforcing learning and helping students with organisation and revision techniques.
*
Resource Management: Managing classroom equipment and assisting with lesson preparation.
*
Classroom Consistency: Supporting the teacher with administrative tasks and maintaining a focused atmosphere.
