An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing power division of a leading main contractor in Scotland. My client is delivering a complex £150m high‑voltage power infrastructure scheme along the East Coast of Scotland, involving extensive upgrades and replacements to high voltage overhead lines that will support the UK's transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy network.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a growing pipeline of complex, multi-million-pound power and infrastructure projects across Scotland, and an employer that can offer excellent long term career opportunities and continued professional development.
Reporting into the commercial leadership team, you will be a key member of the project team responsible for managing the commercial performance of a major infrastructure project delivered under the NEC suite of contracts.
A significant focus of the role will be the management of change, including the assessment, pricing and agreement of compensation events and variations, ensuring the project maximises commercial entitlement while maintaining strong client relationships.
We are interested in speaking with commercially astute Quantity Surveyors who have experience operating within the infrastructure, civil engineering or utilities sectors and living within a reasonable commute of the Central Belt of Scotland.
You will ideally have:
Infrastructure sector experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other sectors with strong NEC experience are encouraged to apply.
The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with attendance in Dundee required approximately once per week. Candidates based within reasonable travelling distance of Dundee are particularly encouraged to apply, although remote working elsewhere in Scotland is supported for the majority of the week.
