Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Writer / Content Editor to join a busy editorial team. This is a hands‑on digital journalism role, focused on producing high-quality editorial content for a luxury audience, with a strong emphasis on yacht brokerage, industry news and features. The role involves writing, editing and uploading content for a major digital platform, collaborating closely with the Online Editor and wider editorial team to meet daily publishing targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate story ideas daily to meet editorial targets and coverage goals
* Write, edit and publish digital articles, with a particular focus on yacht brokerage content
* Produce industry news, interviews, yacht roundups and feature articles tailored to a luxury audience
* Work closely with the Online Editor to commission, develop and refine content
* Build and maintain strong relationships with yacht brokerage houses to secure exclusives and story leads
* Ensure all content meets high editorial standards for accuracy, authority, clarity, tone and grammar
* Identify content gaps and contribute ideas to strengthen coverage
* Optimise editorial content for SEO and reader engagement
* Assist with preparing and editing newsletters
* Support multimedia output, including basic image editing using Photoshop
* Liaise with colleagues across editorial, design, social media, events and commercial teams to align content with wider objectives
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years’ editorial experience in a magazine, newspaper or digital newsroom
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to write clean, accurate, authoritative copy at paces
* Proven experience in reporting, fact‑checking and sourcing stories
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines independently
* Clear understanding of SEO best practices for editorial content
* Interest in luxury lifestyle and yachting (industry knowledge desirable but not essential)
* Confident team player with strong collaboration skills
* Experience using a CMS and basic Photoshop skills are advantageous
