Kitchen Assistant | Mon - Fri | Cundall Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £13.50 per hour Hours: 35h per week A thriving co-educational independent boarding school, catering for boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 16 years of age in Cundall, North Yorkshire. Catering for about 300 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Tea with some hospitality and summer events. This is a term time only contract working 42 weeks, operating Monday to Friday. Additional benefit of free onsite parking available. We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Cundall. You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset. Key responsibilities: To work well in a team, providing food and a great service To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled. Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed. Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage Excellent customer service skills Great team player Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep You will have the following skills: A genuine interest in food & excellent customer service An all-round team player Innovation and passion for great food An organised Kitchen Assistant with attention to detail Knowledge / competencies: Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English. Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
