Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. BSc (Hons)/MSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy or equivilant.
2. HPC Registration
3. Evidence of C.P.D
Desirable criteria
4. Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
5. Membership of appropriate clinical interest group.
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Experience of working in orthopaedics, managing orthopaedic patients with a variety of conditions.
7. Experience in the training, supervision and mentoring of less experienced therapists.
8. Experience of service initiation and development.
Desirable criteria
9. Experience of clinical service improvement.
10. Experience as a clinical educator.
Skills
Essential criteria
11. Highly developed communication skills.
12. High level orthopaedic assessment and treatment skills.
13. Experienced in goal setting and analysis of performance.
14. Good teaching ability/ education experience.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
15. High level knowledge of orthopaedic conditions, treatment and interventions
16. Sound knowledge of evidence based practise and its application within a service.
Other
Essential criteria
17. Flexibility to respond to urgent requests, changes to plans etc;
18. Excellent organisational skills, managing own workload and assisting others with theirs.
19. Able to work in stressful situations including the ability to manage distressing and emotive situations successfully.
20. Highly developed verbal & written communication skills.
21. Ability to drive and hold a clean drivers licence
