The Haematology Myeloma service is seeking to recruit a dynamic, forward-thinking individual with extensive experience in Myeloma. The Lead Myeloma Specialist Nurse must possess exceptional organisational skills, astute problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
The candidate will act as the clinical expert and professional resource for patients, carers, and the multi-professional team. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Myeloma service and patient caseload, ensuring high standards of nursing care, utilizing research, and collaborating with colleagues in daily practice.
The role involves providing clinical leadership to support the development and delivery of practice and professional development programs for staff within the specialty. The lead nurse will oversee education, training, practice development, clinical governance, audits, and research, with a focus on patient safety and risk management.
The post holder is required to work autonomously in nurse-led clinics, with clinical responsibilities and specialist knowledge to care for and support patients diagnosed with myeloma. For further details, please see the attached Job Description.
