Job Title: Principal Public Protection Officer
We have an exciting role within our Public Protection Service as a Principal Public Protection Officer.
Middlesbrough Council’s Public Protection Service is dedicated to improving residents' lives, protecting the environment and consumer interests, and supporting a robust local economy.
In this role, you will work alongside other Principal Officers and Service Managers to lead our Private Sector Housing team. Your responsibilities will include licensing and managing houses in multiple occupation, investigating substandard housing conditions, conducting research, developing intelligence on the private housing market, and developing housing support and enforcement strategies. You will also support the delivery of licensing schemes and collaborate on wider Public Protection functions, including emergency planning.
We seek candidates with extensive knowledge and experience in these areas, along with proven leadership and management skills.
